Here are the pictures my friend Cindy took of Paige and then the kids after their first day. I took the last one. Don't you just love those teeth??
Paige was very excited to wear her new kid-sized backpack and carry her Barbie lunch box. We got her all prettied up and walked over to her new preschool. This is just one more reason why we feel very committed to our house. Location, location, location. Ashley, Jonathan and Paige can all walk to their schools. How cool is that??I dropped her off and other than a couple of minor issues of not wanting to put her backpack or lunch box away, she settled into her class really well. Her teacher came over when she sensed Paige would have difficulty with my leaving. She scooped her up and took her to the classroom. That was my cue to leave.
When I picked her up, she was red-cheeked and happy to see me. Her buddy, Andres, was getting ready to leave too, so we got a picture of the two of them outside to document the day properly. Paige's teachers said she was very grown up for her age (or something to that effect). I immediately pointed out that she's 3 1/2 and tall for her age, in my opinion anyway. But the teachers were talking about her verbal skills. Mensa perhaps? Nah.
