It's a bird, it's a plane - no, it's MINI DAD!

So, on Friday we took some chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies from Costco to Neil's work as our diversion for our final Father's Day gift. All week long he had been going into work in the afternoon and his Friday schedule was all around the office, so he really could have come back to the office to finish up paperwork (yes, on a Friday! he's very committed to his customers!). We took some framed pictures to spruce up his office space and give him a nice surprise for Monday morning. A few weeks ago, he left a card for me to pick up and I noticed he didn't have any recent pictures of the kids, none of Drew and the only one he had of Paige is his desktop photo on his laptop computer. I thought to myself 'this needs to be fixed' and made it a fun project for the kids. I let them pick out some fun frames (yay! to Hobby Lobby for having a 50% off sale on their frames). Courtesy of a great idea from a fellow BBC'er, I borrowed her great idea. So, here's Drew playing with Neil's watch next to his gentleman's valet. Oh, and thanks to YouTube for showing me how to tie a Windsor knot. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, but it does require some real finesse. So, we did eventually convince him to come home after his appointments on Friday, when Jonathan yells out from the playroom as Neil walks in -

'HEY DAD?! DID YOU LIKE YOUR PICTURES???'

'WHAT PICTURES?'

'THE ONES WE TOOK TO YOUR OFFICE!!!'

Neil looks at me and I yell - JONATHAN!! COME HERE!! All our hard work to make sure he stayed away from work and my plan was foiled! Oh well, lol.

Neil said he enjoyed the surprise considering it was a typical 'full of challenges' Monday.
